CareSeries

CareSeries exists to help individuals find hope, be honest, and grow through any season of life through confidential support and recovery groups with others who are facing similar life challenges. While CareSeries groups are not a place for therapy, they do provide a confidential, Christian setting where participants can be honest and grow. Each group is led by a trained facilitator who desires to offer encouragement and guidance on the path to healing.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY STEP STUDIES - This gender-specific, 10-month study deals with mixed recovery issues that include any hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. THE COST OF CONTROL - (meets on Mondays in October) We all wish we had more control. When our relationships are strained, our bodies refuse to cooperate, or the future is uncertain, control promises security and peace. Technology, science, and medicine all promise ever-increasing mastery over our world. The answer to our craving is not simply to "let go and let God." Instead, God has given us a better tool. Discover the real power God has given us in Christ to exercise influence over ourselves and our lives.

DEPRESSION & BIPOLAR SUPPORT - This informational class helps dispel myths, reduce fears, and support those dealing with depressive illnesses. Sponsored by Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance.

DISCERNING YOUR PURPOSE - “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10). It sounds simple enough. So why is finding purpose and meaning in life so hard? Explore answers to that question, traditional solutions to the problem, and practical steps toward discernment. If you are 18 and trying to decide on a major (or whether to attend college at all), 85 and trying to decide if you missed your calling, or any place in between, this class is for you.

Utilizes Metamorphosis, a study developed by a team of Crossings leaders.

MISCARRIAGE AND INFANT LOSS - This group specifically addresses the needs of those grieving a miscarriage or loss of an infant and offers a safe place to explore the many emotions created by grief, gain practical ways to walk through the grief process, and receive support from others who have experienced similar circumstances. Meets 2nd & 4th Monday of the month.

MOVING MOM AND DAD - Those in the position of helping elder family members navigate housing choices face a weighty set of decisions and responsibilities. While every move represents a unique set of circumstances, late-life transitions can pose distinct, and often unexpected, overwhelming challenges, especially when that transition involves saying goodbye to long-time, memory-filled, family residences. Partnering together, this class helps equip and empower you, giving you the added courage necessary to be the best possible guide for transitioning elders in your life.
